BiographyDaniel Bruun was born in 1979. After passing the organ examinations at the Vestervig Church Music School in 1998 he went on to study organ at the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen. He began his studies in 1999 with Professor Hans Fagius and Docent Hans Ole Thers. In the year 2000 Daniel Bruun played at Queen Ingrid’s castrum doloris and for that occasion was granted Queen Ingrid’s remembrance medal. Daniel Bruun has recorded Alfred Schnittke’s “Requiem”, with the camber choir Hymnia, and Schnittke’s two organ pieces: “Zwei kleine Stücke für Orgel”. He has recorded several times for Danish Radio. Daniel Bruun has given recitals in Denmark, Norway, Germany, England, Slovenia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Albania and France. The year 2002/2003, Daniel Bruun worked in the Danish Church, London, and studied with Professor David Sanger. He graduated, in the summer 2005, magna cum laude from the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen. In june 2007, Daniel Bruun won third price in Odense International Organcompetition. Daniel Bruun finished in october 2007 two years of studies with Michel Bouvard and Jan Willem Jansen at "Centre d'Études Supérieures Musique et Danse", in Toulouse. His final recital was awarded with: "Tres bien à l'unanimité". He made his danish ”Debut” in june 2008, with eight concerts around Denmark. Info: www.danielbruun.dk |
